The journal
What's inside the My Journal To_ journal?
A daily structure for clear thinking: morning intentions and three priorities, an end-of-day reflection, and weekly pit-stops that pull you out of the routine to look at the bigger picture. There are quiet pages for free writing too — the journal nudges, it doesn't lecture.
Is it dated or undated?
Undated. Start on a Tuesday in February or a Sunday in October — the journal doesn't care. Skipping a week doesn't leave a graveyard of empty pages reminding you of the streak you broke.
How long does one journal last?
About three months at one entry a day, or five to six months if you write three or four times a week. Most people refill twice a year.
Is it lined, dotted, or guided?
Guided. Each day has gentle prompts and structured fields — intentions, gratitude, one thing to let go of — plus a pages of free space at the end of every week. No blank-page paralysis.
What's the cover and binding made of?
A linen-textured hardcover with a flat-spine smyth-sewn binding, so the journal lies open without you holding it down. Two ribbon markers, a back pocket, and an elastic closure round it out.
Section II
How journaling works
How often should I journal?
There's no right answer. Most people land on three or four sessions a week. The journal isn't a streak — skip days when you need to. The point is honest reflection, not a perfect record.
How long does a journaling session take?
Five minutes for the morning prompts, five for the evening. The five-minute rule is the floor, not the ceiling — write longer when something's worth it, shorter when it isn't.
Is it OK to skip days?
Yes. Real life happens. The journal is undated for exactly this reason — pick it back up when you can, no guilt.
Should I journal in the morning or at night?
Both work. Morning is good for setting intentions and getting cluttered thoughts out of the way before the day starts. Evening is good for processing what actually happened. Many people use both pages — morning for direction, evening for digestion.
Does journaling actually reduce stress and anxiety?
Research on expressive writing shows people who write about what's going on in their head sleep better, feel less stuck, and report lower anxiety over a few weeks. Whether it works for you depends on whether you actually write — the journal won't do it for you.
What if I don't know what to write?
That's exactly what the prompts are for. Start with whatever's loudest in your head — a small worry, a person you're thinking about, a decision you've been avoiding. Two sentences is fine. The page asks; you don't have to answer well.
Section III
Orders & shipping
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. We ship from our warehouse in Germany to most countries — including the EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, and most of Asia. If your country isn't in the checkout list, write to support@myjournalto.com and we'll usually find a way.
How fast does it arrive?
Germany: 2–4 working days. Rest of the EU: 5–10 working days. Outside the EU: 10–15 working days, depending on customs. Orders placed before 14:00 CET ship the same day.
Is shipping free?
Free in Germany, always. Free in the rest of the EU on orders over €50. Outside the EU, shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight and destination — no surprise fees.
Can I change my address after ordering?
Yes, if the order hasn't shipped yet. Email support@myjournalto.com with your order number and the new address — we usually process changes within a few hours during the working day.
Is gift wrapping available?
Yes. Add gift wrap at checkout for €4: unbleached recycled paper, sage ribbon, no plastic. You can include a handwritten note too — leave the message in the order notes field.
Section IV
Returns & 100-day guarantee
What's your return policy?
You can return an unused journal within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund — that's the EU legal minimum, and it applies in original condition with the seal intact. Used journals don't qualify here, but they may qualify for the 100-day guarantee below.
What's the 100-day money-back guarantee?
If you've used the journal for at least four weeks and it isn't working for you, write to us within 100 days of delivery and we'll refund you in full. Used pages are fine. The guarantee exists because journaling is a habit, not a product — you can't tell if it fits without trying.
Who pays return shipping?
The customer covers return shipping unless the journal arrived damaged or we sent the wrong item. We don't pad refunds with restocking fees.
How quickly do you refund?
Within 3 working days of the journal arriving back at our warehouse. Your bank usually takes another 2–5 days to show it on your statement.
My journal arrived damaged — what now?
Send a photo to support@myjournalto.com within 14 days of delivery. We send a free replacement immediately, no return shipping required. Damaged journals get recycled, not resold.
Section V
Paper & sustainability
Where is the paper sourced?
European-sourced, FSC-certified paper from mills in Sweden and Finland. The forests it comes from are managed for regrowth — every tree harvested is replaced.
Is the paper recycled?
The interior pages are 30% post-consumer recycled, blended with FSC-certified virgin fibre for ink fidelity. Fully recycled paper bleeds through too easily for daily ink writing — this blend is the honest middle ground.
Where is the journal printed and bound?
Printed and bound at a family-run press in Slovenia that's been making books for three generations. Vegetable-based inks, water-based glue, no plastic lamination on the cover.
How sustainable is the shipping packaging?
Recycled cardboard, paper tape, no plastic fillers. The gift-wrap option uses unbleached paper and a cotton ribbon. The only plastic anywhere in the package is on the optional shrink-wrap, and we're testing a paper-based replacement for 2026.
Section VI
Account & privacy
Do I need an account to order?
No. Guest checkout works fine — all you need is an email for the order confirmation. An account just lets you see your order history and saves your address for next time.
How do you handle my data?
We follow GDPR. The data controller is My Journal To ApS, registered in Copenhagen. We use your email and address to fulfil the order and, if you opt in, to send the occasional letter. We don't sell data, ever. Full details live in our privacy policy.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Email support@myjournalto.com from the address linked to your account and we'll delete it within 30 days. Order records we're legally required to keep (tax, accounting) are retained for the minimum required period and then deleted.
How do I unsubscribe from emails?
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click and you're out. Order confirmations and shipping updates are transactional and aren't part of the marketing list.
